Practice Manager

Location: Twizel, Canterbury
Position: Practice Manager | Permanent | 20 Hours per week
Twizel Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our dedicated rural healthcare team.
This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Board and clinical team to ensure the practice operates efficiently, safely and sustainably while continuing to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice, including:
- Staff leadership, recruitment, performance and development
- Financial and business management
- Health and safety, compliance, risk and quality management
- Practice systems, facilities, IT and equipment
- PHO and stakeholder relationships
- Supporting strategic planning and service development
- Maintaining a positive and supportive workplace culture
- Ensuring patients receive a welcoming and responsive service
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced and confident manager
- A strong communicator and people leader
- Well organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Financially and commercially aware
- Proactive, practical and able to work independently
- Committed to quality, compliance and continuous improvement
- Respectful of the diverse needs of our patients and community
Experience in medical practice management or healthcare is preferred, but strong transferable management experience will be considered.
